AoWIII to be co-published by BUKA in Russia and CIS

Today we can announce Age of Wonders III is to be co-published with BUKA Entertainment in Russia and CIS. BUKA is a respected partner who also co-published Overlord.  We’ve always been super happy with the response on our games in Russia and we hope AoWIII will live up to expectations!  The game will be localized in Russian and available in stores across in Russia and CIS countries.

This deal is in addition to our partnership with Eurovideo, who handles the German speaking countries.

Stay tuned for news regarding other territories.

Of course the game is available world-wide through digital channels.

Am I right in thinking that these are the biggest markets, in that order?

The Spanish language market should be larger than the Polish. Though possibly not in buying potential. Geographically it is a very large market, though. I was honestly surprised that there is no Spanish localization to start with. Perhaps later.

Italian is also a fairly big one, but locally concentrated in Europe mostly.

Chinese would be a huge one as well if you do it.

We’ve chosen these languages as AoW did well in these countries. Trying to break into China with a game that isn’t F2P is hard.

There’s AoW player’s from all over the world, but found most speak English anyway.

As far as I know, in Spain is dominated by console gaming, and in Poland is dominated by PC gaming.

Quite possible. I can’t claim any kind of expertise on what’s prevalent where, so I’ll happily take your word for it.
